A University of Cincinnati graduate helped win the closest Indianapolis Motor Speedway 500 finish in the race's 110-year history — by 0.023 seconds, per IndyCar's official race data. 🏁

JP Suozzi, a 2025 graduate of the University of Cincinnati - College of Engineering and Applied Science (CEAS), is the trackside engineer for American Honda Motor Company, Inc. Racing, assigned to Meyer Shank Racing. His path there started with a co-op that didn't previously exist.

Five co-op rotations. A bachelor's and master's degree through UC's ACCEND program (Accelerated Engineering Degree, which lets students complete both degrees on a shortened timeline). A full-time job offer before he'd even finished grad school.

"I'll have four years of experience at age 24. That's huge in this industry, just to get your foot in the door."
