## Caption

June has been a mix of local adventures, mostly avoiding the heat, growing sendbars , and finding a bit of routine. This is my 10th year living in Boulder, but somehow I’ve never spent a full summer here (minus a few small trips). I’ve been spending my time with my boy Moose as much as I can — making new memories and having a big full summer. It has been so nice to see him bounding around, truly living like he’s dying, without seeming to have a clue - at least in his energy, demeanor, and stoke level. Which is the gift in all of it. 

We’ve chased local adventures and higher elevation, swum, climbed early mornings and after sunset, hiked in the shade, and played with friends. 

It’s an odd thing, knowing your best friend’s days with you are numbered. It’s tough emotionally. But I’m endlessly thankful for these bonus days together. 🐾
