## Caption

The Boston University field hockey family mourns the passing of Tamarah Klein ‘90, a beloved BUFHA who was the first international player in program history. A native of Hilversum, Holland, “Whammy” walked on to the team in 1986 and went on to play three seasons. She earned First Team All-Region honors all three years and was named team MVP in 1988 before serving as a tri-captain in 1989. She was a wonderful and spirited teammate who started a key part of our culture as BUFHAs have been able to create lifelong friendships with teammates from around the world for the past 40 years. Our thoughts are with her family, friends and all of the lives she touched.
