DISCUSSION: I realize that it is disappointing to see three-star running back target Marquis Fennell commit to Stanford over Florida State.

I won’t sugarcoat it because I believe that Fennell is a dynamic athlete that could have helped the Seminoles if he signed. Stanford got a good one in my eyes. With that said, Florida State isn’t doomed with its 2027 recruiting class, they still have two top targets that they need to focus on, with four-star offensive lineman DaJohn Yarborough and four-star defensive back Ta’Shawn Poole.

Four-star defensive lineman Sam LeJeune was a huge pickup for Florida State recently. They need to continue bringing in the high-caliber talent to this recruiting class.

Quarterback commit Logan Flaherty points out that this recruiting class for Florida State could be something special, and quite honestly it all comes down to what happens on the gridiron at the end of the day. The Seminoles have their doubters to prove, even themselves, with having six losing seasons in eight years.
