The Vespa, a modern-classic but was once a symbol of Italy's rebirth after World War Two, celebrates its 80 years with a four-day gathering between June 25 to 28 bringing together Vespa fans and riders to the centre of Rome, showing exhibitions, races, parades and club events. ⁣

The wasp-waisted scooter that put postwar Italians on wheels and went on to carry Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn through the streets of Rome  in "Roman Holiday"  has since become one of Italy's most recognisable design exports. ⁣
