I started in fitness as a bikini competitor and developed disordered eating from micromanaging every meal. The deeper I’ve gotten into my career, the more I’ve shifted toward real food, quality ingredients, and nourishing my body without the obsession.

“Clean eating” and “healthy” have become toxic trigger words. Eat real food. Like our ancestors did. That’s it.

1.	It actually does matter where your food comes from. Quality ingredients, quality life.

2.	Yes, you can eat pizza, burgers, fries, etc. but prioritize colorful, whole foods on a more regular basis. Restriction leads to an unhealthy relationship with food. Eat with joy and presence.

3.	Build your plate around protein first, then carbs, then fat. If your carbs can come from vegetables, even better.

4.	But on that note, bread and carbs are not the devil. Just make sure they’re coming from good sources and have minimal ingredients.

5.	If you’ve never tracked your macros, it’s worth doing at least once to know where you’re at and whether it aligns with your goals.

6.	Not every meal needs to look pretty or be special. Food is fuel, not a performance. Keep it simple and eat the same things on repeat.

7.	When you cook dinner, make enough for leftovers. Tomorrow’s lunch is already done.

8.	Breakfast is not optional and coffee is not breakfast. Eat something nourishing, make it protein-forward, and go savory over sweet.

9.	Three full meals and one snack if you need it. Constant snacking is not the move.

10. Protein powder and bars are supplemental, not foundational. If you’re living off protein bars, just eat actual protein.

11. If you don’t know how to cook, get an air fryer and use AI to figure out simple meals. No excuses.

12. Cook 90% of your meals at home. (Unless it’s GoopKitchen then I’ll allow it.)

13. Chew your food longer than you think you need to.

14. The goal is to eventually not need rules around food at all. You just know your body.
