Many people find the idea of fading away and being forgotten unsettling, but for Paranee Jethsomma, it isn’t something to fear. In her case, that acceptance has enabled her to live more honestly and on her own terms…🥹

I stumbled into her small world in Chiang Mai, a place she calls “Peace, Love, Joy.” She has lived there for more than 20 years, in a home she designed herself, down to the library, filled with books she’s collected over a lifetime. 

As we talked, she returned often to the idea of living in the present, and how that approach to life is a core part of her.

I couldn’t imagine her sanctuary disappearing one day, It felt too personal and intentional to ever vanish or not be protected. Yet there is something so beautiful in her acceptance that everything she’s created will eventually return to the earth. ❤️
