I’ve been on a little hiatus, moving through a new season of healing. 🥲

Growing up, I never felt like I fit in my environment or at home. The more I searched for a common ground, the further I strayed from the person I wanted to be. Eventually, I decided there was no compromise worth losing myself over. 

As my family struggled to make ends meet, sacrifice was deeply woven in to the fabric of my life. I often thought, if no one was happy, what makes me deserving of pursuing such a privilege? 

I was always told that going to the city was never meant for people like me, so I kept waiting—waiting for the right time, the right resources, and the right support to appear…and the more I waited, the more I realized that my life demanded a different kind of courage. 

2 years ago, you could have never told me that leaving would also create space for my home to hold new memories, shaped by who I am now, not by who we had to be to survive. In this chapter, I’m slowly learning how to lean on my family without feeling like a burden. I feel fortunate to be able to have something new to return to. 

You can’t expect change from the place that broke you. for anyone who has been waiting for permission- I hope sharing a piece of my story reassures that you don’t need it!! 🥹 trust the rest will meet you when you take the dive! 🤿
