I used to overcomplicate what I needed to draw because I was using art as a means to fulfill and enrich areas of my life where I felt empty or lost. When you tie your passions to a certain outcome, you’ll begin to soil that relationship.

For the longest time, I believed I was falling out of love with my passion and thought, “how could this be when it’s all I ever wanted to do as a kid?” 😩 when you grow up, you don’t even realize how much life shifts your approach to everything, in order to survive. I just needed to reframe my perspective. Am I creating for the same reasons I did as a kid?

we tend to forget that art is just a reflection of ourselves and what we love in this world so don’t forget the real reason why we should create. 🥹
