In this conversation, I speak with Claire Pribula, Managing Director and Co-Founder of The Yield Lab Asia Pacific, about why the future of AI, robotics, climate technology, and food security will depend on how we transform agriculture.

With over 30 years of experience across IBM, SAP, and the startup ecosystem, Claire shares why innovation must reach not only large enterprises but also the millions of smallholder farmers who produce much of the world’s food.

As she explains:

“I could see this was the last industry that needed to be transformed. It’s the last trillion-dollar industry.”

She also highlights a crucial reality:

“80% of our food in Asia Pacific comes from small holders… You have to find different ways to bring innovation to them.”

Across the global Yield Lab network, the organisation has now invested in 119 companies, achieved nine exits, and supports founders building solutions for agriculture, sustainability, climate resilience, and food security.
