અમદાવાદના વટવા GIDC ફેઝ-2માં મોડી રાત્રે એક કેમિકલ કંપનીમાં ભીષણ આગ લાગતા સમગ્ર વિસ્તારમાં દોડધામ મચી ગઈ હતી. આગની જાણ થતાં ફાયર બ્રિગેડની 22થી વધુ ગાડીઓ અને ટીમો તાત્કાલિક ઘટનાસ્થળે પહોંચી ગઈ હતી અને કલાકોની જહેમત બાદ આગ પર કાબૂ મેળવ્યો હતો. સદનસીબે કંપનીમાં હાજર તમામ લોકોને સમયસર સુરક્ષિત બહાર કાઢી લેવાતા કોઈ જાનહાનિ થઈ નથી. જોકે આગ એટલી વિકરાળ હતી કે સમગ્ર કંપની બળીને ખાક થઈ ગઈ હતી. આગ લાગવાનું ચોક્કસ કારણ જાણવા ફાયર વિભાગે તપાસ શરૂ કરી છે.
