“What is one piece of advice that you would give to your younger self and why?

"Be kinder to yourself and enjoy it." | think women are, and probably men as well, we're so hard on ourselves. If a footballer or a soccer player plays a game, instead of thinking of the three great things, they think of the five things that they did worst. It's almost impossible to build (with that). I tell the girls all the time: "Listen, what are three positives that vou had today? Of course you can have two negatives, but walk away with one positive that way you push the boundary." I always had a chip on my shoulder. I wish when I look back that when I made it to the U.S. team, when I made it in Paris, when I made it in Wolfsburg as a non-national team player and got there at 32 vears old to play because I had never given up, to sit back and say: "I'm good enough. I've made it. Well done." | never gave myself that credit.
