Former Nebraska volleyball star Jordan Larson added another prestigious honor to her decorated career Monday, earning induction into the National High School Hall of Fame during a ceremony in Salt Lake City.

Larson, a Logan View High School graduate from Hooper, Nebraska, was one of 12 members inducted into the Hall of Fame's 43rd class. The National High School Hall of Fame, administered by the National Federation of State High School Associations, recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to high school athletics and activities and is considered the highest honor in high school sports.

Larson's volleyball career began at Logan View, where she established herself as one of the state's all-time greats. As a junior in 2003, she averaged 15 kills per match to set a Nebraska Class C1 record while leading the Raiders to the state championship match. As a senior, she set another Class C1 record with 501 kills and guided Logan View to the state semifinals.

She also excelled beyond volleyball, helping Logan View qualify for the Nebraska state girls basketball tournament as a senior and earning a trip to the state track and field championships in the 400-meter dash as a junior.

Larson continued her success at Nebraska, helping the Cornhuskers capture the 2006 NCAA championship. A four-time All-American, she finished her collegiate career with 1,600 kills and 1,410 digs. As a senior, she became the first player in Big 12 history to be named both Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year in the same season.

Her accomplishments continued on the international stage as one of the most decorated players in USA Volleyball history. Larson competed in four Olympic Games, winning silver medals in London in 2012 and Paris in 2024, a bronze medal in Rio de Janeiro in 2016, and helping the United States capture its first Olympic gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, which were held in 2021. She was named the Olympic MVP and Best Outside Hitter during the gold medal run.

Larson has also won gold medals at the FIVB World Championship, Volleyball Nations League and World Grand Prix, while enjoying a successful professional career in Puerto Rico, Russia, Turkey and China. She also became the inaugural champion of Athletes Unlimited Pro Volleyball in 2021.

Closer to home, Larson recently served as an assistant coach at Nebraska, helping the Huskers reach the NCAA championship match in 2023 and the national semifinals in 2024. She is also a founding athlete and co-owner of League One Volleyball's Omaha franchise.

Larson is the latest Nebraska athlete to earn a place in the National High School Hall of Fame, joining an exclusive group recognized for excellence that began long before the collegiate and international stages.
