The Crescenta Valley forward has already made her mark on the international stage, starring for Armenia’s U16 national team at the 2025 FIBA U16 Women’s EuroBasket Division C, where she averaged a double-double and helped Armenia reach the final.

Now, as Armenia prepares for the 2026 FIBA Women’s European Championship for Small Countries in Peja, Kosovo, Gharib is continuing to grow with the national team program.

Armenia will compete in Group B against Kosovo and Andorra as the team looks to make noise on the European stage.

ASN spoke with Gharib about representing Armenia, the growth of women’s basketball in the Armenian community and what this opportunity means for the next generation.
