Some days you just need a little reminder that you’re still you ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

Yesterday was my first post-endometriosis excision surgery appointment with my doctor, and while we went over everything they found, I left feeling more overwhelmed than when I walked in. I knew I had endometriosis post surgery, but I didn’t realize how severe it really was. It’s a lot to process. In some areas I’m past Stage 4. One cyst on my left ovary completely took over the ovary and fallopian tube and kinked it and all fused to my colon causing a lot of the hip and back pain I have. This is just one of many organs stuck together by endometriosis. Currently there isn’t a plan of attack other than healing from the most current surgery first. I’m off to endomapping endoglobalgroup next month to get a better picture of all the endo. 

I’ve been feeling pretty down and depressed about it all. It’s hard not to feel like my body is failing me sometimes.

Ryan has been reminding me to do something that makes me feel like myself again. So Eddie and I grabbed a Vietnamese coffee we have been wanting to try davien.coffee , and then I went to see my favorite person ever, Martha pinkdoorsalon , for a fresh haircut and blowout. She’s been doing my hair for over a dozen years she helped me forget about doctors, surgeries, and diagnoses.

It doesn’t fix everything, but for a few hours, I felt lighter. A little more like me.

Maybe healing isn’t always the big milestones. Maybe sometimes it’s coffee, laughter, a fresh haircut, and remembering you’re still in there somewhere.

One day at a time 🤍
