A 99-year-old Italian man reportedly ended his 77-year marriage after discovering letters which appeared to reveal his wife had an affair decades earlier.⁠

The man, identified in reports and court documents only as Antonio C, is said to have found the letters in an old chest of drawers shortly before Christmas in 2011.⁠
⁠
His wife, identified as Rosa C, was reportedly 96 at the time and is said to have admitted to the affair, which allegedly took place in the 1940s.⁠

The couple had been married since the 1930s and had five children together, as well as grandchildren and a great-grandchild.⁠

But despite more than seven decades together, Antonio reportedly filed for divorce after making the discovery👀⁠
