South Korea captain Son Heung-min (hm_son7) has shared an emotional message following the national team’s exit from the 2026 FIFA World Cup. ⚽💔

In a heartfelt statement posted on social media, Son apologized to fans, saying he couldn’t ignore the disappointment or run away from reality.

Son also reflected on the dream he has often spoken about—the World Cup as “a stage where children’s dreams come true”—saying it felt as though that dream had collapsed.

He also urged fans not to direct excessive criticism toward the players, asking instead for warm support and encouragement during this difficult time. ❤️

South Korea finished third in Group A with one win and two losses, officially ending their World Cup campaign on June 28. This marks the first time Son has publicly addressed the team’s elimination.
