Played December 2, 1995, at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta in front of a national ABC audience, this game pitted the East Division champion Florida Gators against the West Division champion Arkansas Razorbacks, who were making their first-ever appearance in the title game.

The Gators, coached by Steve Spurrier and led by quarterback Danny Wuerffel, came in having gone a perfect 8-0 in conference play during the regular season. Florida's high-octane "Fun 'n' Gun" offense overwhelmed the Razorbacks from the start, and the Gators cruised to a comfortable 34-3 victory, holding Arkansas to just a single field goal all afternoon.

The win gave Florida a school-record third consecutive SEC championship and capped a 12-1 regular season, extending its home unbeaten streak to 13 straight games. It was the second time the Gators reached a perfect 8-0 mark in conference play. Florida Gators

The victory propelled Florida into its first-ever national championship game appearance, where the Gators faced top-ranked Nebraska in the Fiesta Bowl — a game the Cornhuskers won decisively, 62-24, denying Florida the title that season. Arkansas, meanwhile, went on to lose 20-10 to North Carolina in the Carquest Bowl.
