After going to the lead shortly after Forest Hill - Puppi would eventually surrender the lead to Vincent Bouillard, but nevertheless Puppi held on to run an outlandish 13:51:08. That time is the second fastest in Western States 100 Mile history, and dips below the previous CR of 14:09 by about 18-minutes.

What a day it was.
