In 1970, the complete Flowers portfolio by Andy Warhol sold for about $5,000. Today it trades for $2M+ — and the print itself never changed.
Warhol built the image to look disposable: ten screenprints of four hibiscus blooms, lifted from a 1964 gardening magazine, flattened into pure color. He wanted art that felt mass-produced. The market turned it into a blue-chip icon.
The lesson isn't "buy Warhol." It's that value lives in which work, which edition, and when you move — the difference between a name and an asset. That's the difference 25 years of specialization pays for.
This is the work we do for our collectors: finding the pieces worth holding, before the market catches up.
