“Try everything. Absolutely everything. The amount of things I tried and the amount of things I thought I wanted led me back to where I’m at now which is being creative. I wouldn’t have known this is where I wanted to be if it wasn’t for me doing and exploring.”⠀
Ashley Gutierrez, is a photographer and videographer currently based out of Denver, Colorado. Gutierrez’s creative journey began her freshman year of high school when she took a film and photography class. That experience ignited her passion for creating content so she quickly got her hands on her Canon Rebel T2i and film camera and began capturing the world around her.⠀
A little burnt out, she put the camera down for a while before picking it back up in college after getting inspired by travel and backpacking blogs such as Nomadic Matt. She became obsessed with the idea of backpacking on $1 per day which led to her booking multiple trips and taking a few semesters off to explore the world through the lens of her camera.⠀
In 2019, Gutierrez landed an internship with the Miami Marlins where she split her time between the control room and the video production team. She also started filming for her school’s, Florida International University, Athletic Department. The experience she gained with those two internships led her to freelance work with the Miami Heat, Inter Miami CF, Miami FC, the Super Bowl, and MMA which eventually helped her earn an internship with Fresh Tape Media, where she currently works, as a Junior Creative.⠀
In her role at Fresh Tape Media, Gutierrez is responsible for producing, directing, capturing and editing photo and video content for a variety of clients including but not limited to Puma, Turner Entertainment, and more.⠀
