The best thing ever ❤️

Hi 👋 For all our new followers, I’m Georgie, co-founder of The MOB and mum to two boys. My eldest has a rare genetic condition and is severely autistic.

Navigating life as a parent is hard enough, as most of you will relate to. But layer in additional needs and it’s a whole other ball game.

One thing this journey has taught me is to appreciate the smallest things in life. Even the simplest everyday things like language.

You almost quietly accept that there are certain things your child just might never say. For me, that was “I love you.” And honestly, I’d made peace with that.

So when he said it completely spontaneously, it took me by surprise in the best possible way. My heart just burst with emotion.

Never underestimate how incredible these special people are. There is no limit to what they can do. F continues to inspire me and surprise me every single day, and I feel so lucky and so proud to be his mum.

If you’re navigating life with a child with additional needs, I see you. I hear you. I know it can be hard. That’s exactly why moments like these deserve to be celebrated. They might seem small to someone else, but to us, they’re absolutely everything.
