250  years ago, America made a bet. 
 
Not just on democracy. On curiosity. On the idea that a free people, given the tools to learn and discover, could build something the world had never seen.
Universities were part of that bet from the beginning and they still are. 
 
Every graduate who goes on to heal, to build, to lead. Every research breakthrough that changes what’s possible. Every student who walks across a stage and changes the story of their family forever.
 
That’s not separate from the American experiment. That is the American experiment. On this 250th birthday, FIU is proud to be part of it. 🇺🇸
