In 1996, Tracey Emin locked herself in a Stockholm gallery for three weeks to reconcile her anxieties around painting, which she had stopped producing in 1990.⁠
⁠
During this period, she created a deeply personal collection of paintings, drawings and objects.⁠
⁠
The works have been preserved as the installation ‘Exorcism of the Last Painting I Ever Made’, which is currently on view at Tate Modern in its original constellation.⁠
