Cooking the Comments | Nanaimo Bars 🇨🇦 

Ingredients

½ cup unsalted butter
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tbsp granulated sugar
1 large egg, beaten
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
½ cup sweetened shredded coconut
¼ cup finely chopped walnuts

Middle Custard Layer (i made almost double this since the first batch wasn’t enough)

¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
1 tbsp custard powder
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tbsp milk or cream

Chocolate Topping (i doubled this one too but the chocolate layer was really thick, you could probably stick to this amount)

2 oz (57g) semi-sweet chocolate
1 tbsp unsalted butter
