Greek World - The Iliad

Part 2

In the dawning light of an age long past, the kingdoms of Mycenae and Sparta unite under the banners of vengeance and justice. Menelaus, betrayed by the theft of his queen, Helen, by the Trojan prince Paris, calls upon his brother Agamemnon, the mighty king of Mycenae. Together, they summon the greatest warriors of Greece, forging an alliance as vast as the sea they are destined to cross. Their target: the imposing walls of Troy, a city fated to become a legend.

The Greek armada, a formidable force of a thousand ships, cuts through the Aegean’s azure waters, each vessel a promise of retribution. As Troy’s distant silhouette emerges from the mist, tension grips the hearts of men who dream of glory and dread the specter of war. The shores of Troad welcome them not with open arms but with the silence of anticipation, the calm before the storm unleashed.

Upon the Trojan sands, the Achaeans establish their encampment, a sprawling city of tents and turmoil under the shadow of Troy’s defiance. Skirmishes erupt like sparks before a blaze, heralding the beginning of a conflict that will consume heroes and innocents alike. Amidst these early battles, the duel between Paris and Menelaus promises resolution, only to be thwarted by divine caprice, entwining the fates of all involved ever tighter.
