Over the past several weeks we've shared the Doña Ana County Accountability Series.

Part 1: Good Deputieship asked what the public should reasonably expect when human remains are reported.

Part 2: What Were People Told? examined public statements and compared them with documented events.

Part 3: Who Was Missing? reminded us that these weren't statistics—they were missing persons. Mothers. Daughters. Sons. Fathers. Human beings whose families deserved answers.

Part 4: What Was Left Behind? showed what we have repeatedly found after official recoveries: clothing, personal belongings, and even additional human remains.

Now we arrive at the final question.

Was anyone held accountable?

The purpose of this series has never been to sensationalize tragedy. It has been to document what we've witnessed over years of searching and to ask difficult—but necessary—questions.

If we expect our institutions to improve, they must first be willing to examine documented failures with honesty and transparency.

We hope you'll take a few minutes to read this final installment and decide for yourself.

Because every missing person deserves to be found.

Every family deserves answers.

And every life deserves dignity.
