Another page in the BJJ chapter. Pfuu 😮‍💨

So grateful I went.

I decided literally 1 day before the comp to actually go, even though I couldn’t train at all in the past 30 days.

Slept 4 hours. Drove 6 hours the same morning of the competition. Then somehow finished both matches in my bracket in under 3 minutes total.

And just as I was getting off the podium, I found out there was another open category with all the winners from all brackets up to 77kg . Free to enter too… 👀😮‍💨

And because I love testing myself and seeing my limits, I said why not. I wasn’t expecting to pass round 1 but I knew this can teach me a lot about what I lack..

Everyone who joined that bracket ended up just being from the 77kg bracket only.. no 62, no 69.. just me having weighted 59kg that day... against the top 4 from the -77kg categories 😆🤦‍♂️

I honestly said no chance, especially with 0 training in the past 4 weeks. But I stayed as concentrated as possible and tried not to make (too many) mistakes.

And SOMEHOW… I beat two -77kg guys, including the -77kg champ 😳

Semi finals by points and Finals with a veryyy close decision. No points scored 🥲 I know… but what a fricking day :))

My first 4 matches in one day.
First 2 brackets.
First open won.
First time competing against -77kg guys.
