The 2008 Florida Gators football team, coached by Urban Meyer, stands as one of the most talented yet troubled national championship squads in college football history. 

Featuring stars like Heisman runner-up quarterback Tim Tebow, wide receiver Percy Harvin, and defensive standouts, the Gators posted a 13-1 record, defeated Alabama in the SEC Championship, and beat Oklahoma 24-14 in the BCS National Championship Game to claim the title. 

Of the 121 players on the roster, an astonishing 41 (roughly one-third) were arrested either during their college careers or later in life, including notable cases involving future NFL players like Cam Newton (stolen laptop), Carlos Dunlap (DUI), Janoris Jenkins (drug possession), and Aaron Hernandez.

Despite the off-field turmoil, the team’s on-field dominance shone through, with 30 roster members going on to have NFL stints, cementing its legacy as a powerhouse marked by both extraordinary success and significant personal struggles.
