I convinced the Knicks to pay for my car. 1993… The song was everywhere... but I was still broke. People were calling me for tickets and I didn't even own a car. Just a bike that took me everywhere. So I had an idea. What if I got a van... wrapped the whole thing in the Knicks logo... filled it with keychains and bumper stickers and handed them out everywhere I went. A rolling billboard for the team. There weren't even wrapped buses back then. Nobody was doing this. In exchange, the Knicks cover the lease, the gas, the parking. I pitched it. They said YES. Just like that I had a van. @nyknicks on one side… half @nyliberty on the other. That was my car for a YEAR. I picked up my grandmother at the airport in it. I took girls on dates in it. Picture pulling up to a first date in a giant Knicks billboard on wheels... Here's the thing... I didn't have the money for a car, so I built a way to get one for free. You're almost never actually stuck. You're usually just one creative idea away from turning a problem into a win. Don't think outside the box... think like there's NO box!! #GONYGO
