While the stock market remains strong, many Americans continue to feel the strain of higher everyday costs. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent says both can be true.

"The stock market lives in the future, so what the stock market is telling us is ... we'll get to the other side of this," Bessent told kfogrady in an exclusive interview on Thursday. "Rates will come down and then we will get back up to real wage gains.”
