We have cameras now that shoot at 100,000 ISO with hardly any noise and people will say it's a well lit shot. It's worth taking a step back and studying those old techniques - lighting plots and how a camera operates. If you do all of those things you'll end up getting the results you want.”⠀

rossvaughn_ , is a freelance DP, camera operator and owner of AV Club Media, a production company based out of Raleigh, NC.⠀

Vaughn was drawn to video at a young age, making films with friends in his spare time. However, his priorities shifted in middle school and high school to focus more on his passion for sports, which eventually landed him the equipment manager role for Clemson University's football team during his college years.⠀

After graduating, Vaughn moved to Raleigh, North Carolina to work for a digital marketing firm, TriMark Digital, as a client services associate. There he reinvigorated his passion for video, spending his free time assisting on various shoots. A trip to Iceland in 2015, with his brand new DJI Phantom 3 Pro in tow, kicked off his creative career and helped him eventually shift from client services to the video team. ⠀

In February 2019, Vaughn left his job and started his own production company, AV Club Media, a Raleigh, NC based video production company with extensive experience in on-set video productions as well location based setups that has been a member of several award-winning teams. That same year, Vaughn joined Fresh Tape Media on the NBA kicks set during the 2019 NBA All-Star game. Since then, he has worked on various projects with the Fresh Tape Media team including MLB shoots and Twitter's activation at the 2020 Super Bowl. ⠀
