At first glance, it looks like just another European tech company. 🖥️✨

In reality, it’s the one company the entire semiconductor industry depends on.

ASML.

Most people have never heard its name.

Yet without it, there would be no cutting-edge iPhones, no NVIDIA AI chips, no AMD processors, and no advanced data centers powering the modern internet.

Because ASML builds something almost nobody else can:

EUV lithography machines.

These aren't ordinary machines. They're among the most complex pieces of engineering humanity has ever created. Standing several stories tall and costing hundreds of millions of dollars each, they use lasers, plasma hotter than the Sun's surface, and mirrors polished so perfectly that even atomic-scale imperfections are unacceptable.

Their job?

To carve billions of transistors onto silicon chips with features measured in nanometers.

Modern processors contain tens of billions of transistors packed into an area smaller than your fingernail. Manufacturing them requires a level of precision so extreme that a single speck of dust can ruin an entire chip.

That's where ASML comes in.

Companies like TSMC, Samsung, and Intel all rely on ASML's machines to manufacture their most advanced chips. And because only ASML possesses this technology, the company occupies one of the most critical positions in the global economy.

What makes this even more remarkable is that ASML doesn't make the chips.

It makes the machines that make the chips.

A difference that sounds small…

But gives it influence over nearly every piece of modern technology.

Because in the digital age, power isn't always held by the companies making the products we use.

Sometimes…

It's held by the company that builds the tools everyone else needs. 🌍⚡
