At first glance, it looks like an ordinary shuttle coming to a sudden stop. ⚓⚡

In reality, you're watching one of the most advanced launch and recovery technologies ever installed on an aircraft carrier.

Instead of relying solely on traditional hydraulic systems, China's newest carrier launch system uses an Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS)—the same core concept adopted by only a handful of modern navies. While the launch itself accelerates aircraft to takeoff speed, the recovery system is engineered to bring fast-moving aircraft to a controlled stop within just a few seconds.

The challenge is enormous.
