Recovery from school refusal doesn’t announce itself. 
There’s no morning where everything suddenly works. There’s just a slow, quiet shift - small enough that you almost miss it, significant enough that you remember exactly where you were when you noticed it.

I know because I lived it. 
I also know that in the worst of it, I couldn’t picture what better even looked like.
