The 𝗖𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 at #USAFA provides cadets the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge and laboratory experience to real-world challenges facing the joint force.
 
This summer, C1C Colorado Stanley is conducting research at the Armed Forces Radiobiology Research Institute, focusing on methods to better assess radiation damage to human DNA.
 
Through the program, cadets gain experience in:
🧬 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲

"The method I'm using is similar to one I've already worked with in my research at USAFA, which has allowed me to have meaningful discussions with professional scientists and gain a deeper understanding of the work," said Colorado.
 
Programs like these help develop future officers who can apply scientific expertise, solve complex challenges and strengthen joint force readiness.
