The Messi and Ronaldo debate is supposed to be fun. The trolling, the jokes, the reactions, the rivalry, that is all part of football culture. But there is a line between banter and just going too far. Speed showed up to watch a World Cup game, supported the match, reacted like he always does, and somehow fans turned it into a chance to insult him and call him all types of stuff just because he rides for Ronaldo. You can love Messi, you can love Argentina, you can laugh at Speed being hurt when Argentina wins, but disrespecting someone in public over a football debate is corny.

That Argentina vs Cabo Verde game was pure entertainment too. Cabo Verde fought like crazy, Argentina survived in extra time, Messi’s World Cup dream stayed alive, and the whole match had fans locked in. That should have been the story. Instead, clips of fans going off on Speed started spreading because people still take this Messi vs Ronaldo war way too personally. Speed might be loud, dramatic and funny with his reactions, but at the end of the day he is just a fan like everybody else. Football is passion, but it should never turn into hate over who somebody supports. Let people enjoy the game 🍿⚽️
