❗️Ferrari just revived the manual experience with the 12Cilindri Manuale, but there’s a very modern catch.

The limited-edition V12 Ferrari uses a Manuale By-Wire system with a gated shifter and clutch pedal, but those inputs are read electronically instead of being mechanically connected to a traditional manual gearbox.

Ferrari says the setup combines a manual shift-by-wire command with a clutch-by-wire pedal, giving drivers the old-school feel while still working with modern dual-clutch tech.

It can mimic real manual behavior closely enough to let the driver stall the car, but it can also protect the powertrain from catastrophic mistakes like a money shift.
