The 2019 LSU Tigers won the College Football Playoff National Championship with one of the best offenses in NCAA football history. Many football fans think they are the best college football team ever.

Joe Burrow had the greatest season a quarterback has ever had, winning the Heisman Trophy by throwing for 5,671 passing yards and 60 touchdown passes while completing 76% of his throws. He carved up SEC defenses and dominated the College Football Playoff against Oklahoma and Clemson to finish a perfect season.

QB Burrow had two monsters at wide receiver. Ja’Marr Chase led the nation with 1,780 receiving yards and 20 receiving touchdowns, besting defensive backs with his size, speed, strength, and route running. WR Justin Jefferson had 1,540 yards and 18 touchdowns. He had four touchdown catches against Oklahoma in the CFP semifinal.

LSU had a quarterback who was the number 1 overall NFL Draft pick, AFC Champion, and franchise quarterback of the Cincinnati Bengals. That same team also had Jettas who became one of the best wide receivers in the NFL with the Minnesota Vikings, earning First-Team All-Pro selections, Pro Bowls, and some of the greatest receiving seasons in NFL history. And there’s Ja’Marr Chase, reunited with Joe Burrow to become one of football’s most dangerous weapons, leading the Cincy Bengals to a Super Bowl appearance while proving himself as an elite NFL receiver.

It’s crazy the talent LSU had. Joe Burrow throwing passes to Justin Jefferson and Ja’Marr Chase is something you create in Madden or College Football 26 Franchise Mode, but it happened every Saturday in Baton Rouge. The 2019 LSU Tigers won the National Championship, dominated college football, finished 15-0, beat multiple top-10 teams, and had one of the most talented group of NFL superstars that NFL fans have seen.
