Anthropic just changed Claude's rules. 

Every personal account is affected.

From July 8th, Claude can now ask you to confirm your age or verify your identity. Free, Pro, and Max users are all affected. Team and business accounts are not.

If triggered, you may need to submit a photo, ID scan, or face scan.

Here's the concern. Anthropic doesn't keep this data — it sends it to two companies. Yoti estimates your age from a selfie. 

Persona handles identity verification — and researchers found their software once ran on a government server scanning faces against a watchlist. Discord cut ties with them because of it.

Worst part: Anthropic still won't say what triggers these requests. It could happen anytime, with no explanation.
