Matthew Paquette, is a filmmaker and VFX editor based out of Barrie, Ontario. ⠀
Paquette got his creative start filming videos with his friends on his mother’s new HD camera when he was just a kid. By the age of twelve he was already learning how to use editing softwares, such as After Effects. His first big opportunity came in high school when he started filming the announcement videos for his youth group. This experience sparked his passion for the whole creative experience. So, when the social media platform Vine launched, he took full advantage.⠀

Through his success on the platform, he received opportunities to work with numerous brands including Burger King Canada, Hot Pockets, Pepsi and more. By the time of Vine’s shut down, Paquette had amassed over 761,000 followers. Following his stint on Vine and numerous freelance gigs, Paquette landed a job as Matti Haapoja’s editor for his YouTube channel. The flexible job allowed him to still do freelance on the side.⠀

Paquette’s latest feat has been starting his own YouTube channel. Though just two months in, he has already seen growth on the platform and has 37,000 subscribers.
