For Abraham Mendoza ('21), working FIFA World Cup 2026 is the realization of a lifelong dream. As part of telemundodeportes, he helps coordinate the programming and broadcast operations that bring the world's biggest sporting event to millions of viewers.

"The World Cup represents happiness for me. Growing up, I could never wait for the next tournament to arrive. Being able to say that I have now worked through two FIFA World Cups at 27 years old makes me feel incredibly proud and grateful."

Abraham credits his fiucaplin education with preparing him to thrive in every aspect of production; from working behind the scenes to appearing on camera. That versatility led to an opportunity covering the Tokyo Olympic Games shortly after graduation, ultimately launching his career at Telemundo Deportes.
