CC Sabathia was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2025, receiving the honor in his first year of eligibility. Over his 19-year career, primarily with the Cleveland Indians and New York Yankees, Sabathia established himself as one of his generation’s most dominant and consistent left-handed workhorses. He concluded his career with a formidable stat line of 251 wins and 3,093 strikeouts, making him one of only 15 pitchers in MLB history to achieve both milestones. His induction celebrates his peak performance, including winning the 2007 AL Cy Young Award, and his role in helping the Yankees win the 2009 World Series. Beyond his on-field performance, Sabathia’s legacy is defined by his profound loyalty to teammates and his advocacy for health and diversity in the sport.
