“Hiromita: Inner Cave” installation (Dec 2025–Jan 2026)

Exhibited in the “At the Same” group exhibition, curated by bengusudemirciarthist at bohesanat.

This interactive site-specific installation features #Hiromita, ANQI’s original mythical character, as an inner guide, inviting visitors to remain with the darkest corners of the inner cave, where trauma, doubt, pain, and inner obstacles can become places of growth and transformation.

One side of the cave remains dark, while the other gradually unfolds into a vibrant explosion of color, suggesting a journey through the inner landscape. At the cave’s center, visitors are invited to choose an intention by tying a piece of fabric to a rope structure, embodying the act of recognizing and committing to the heart’s desire.

The installation draws inspiration from the Chinese creation myth of Nüwa, Chinese mountain paintings, Rumi’s metaphor of discovering the hidden gem within the mountain of the body, and the artist’s childhood memories of Lantern Festivals in Taipei.
