we spent an afternoon making melanieauldjewelry necklaces from their new jewelry kits and couldn't help but notice that EVERY creator had a different method or thought process when given total creative freedom. 

turns out there is 5 different types of creative thinking:

1. systems thinking - "connecting the dots" and seeing the bigger picture from smaller parts

2. Inspirational thinking - receiving insights that spark something new from something already existing 

3. Aesthetic thinking - using knowledge of visual composition, color schemes and "taste" 

4. Divergent thinking - fluid and flexible originality that is not confined to one outcome 

5. Lateral thinking - step by step process to think "outside the box"
