🍂 A little early? Maybe. Cozy? Always.

🎃 Here’s what you’ll need to make this blackberry fig pie at home.

Ingredients

Blackberry Fig Filling

24 oz blackberries (about 4½ cups)
2–3 tbsp lemon juice
½ tsp ground cardamom
2 tsp ground cinnamon
¼ tsp ground cloves
½ tbsp vanilla bean paste or vanilla extract
½ tsp ground ginger
½ cup granulated sugar
⅓ cup flour
½ cup fig jam (homemade or store-bought)

Pie Crust

Homemade or store-bought pie crust

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 425°F and prepare your pie dough. For the top crust, I used Halloween cookie cutters to create spooky shapes.

In a medium bowl, combine all of the filling ingredients until evenly mixed.

Pour the filling into the unbaked pie crust and spread it evenly.

Top the pie with your spooky-shaped pie crust pieces, then brush the crust with an egg wash.

Bake at 425°F for 15 minutes, then reduce the oven temperature to 375°F and bake for another 30–40 minutes, or until the filling is bubbling and the crust is golden brown.

Let the pie cool on a wire rack for 2–4 hours so the filling can fully set.

Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and an extra spoonful of fig jam.

🤎 Enjoy!
