Although she didn’t win Wimbledon, Alex Eala (alex.eala) did something that will be remembered for a very long time 🇵🇭🎾💙

She defeated the defending champion and became the FIRST Filipina in history to reach the 4th round of Wimbledon!

And guess where she started: local courts in the Philippines, coached by her grandfather, growing up in a country where tennis has never had the same infrastructure or spotlight as other sports

This is why we celebrate moments like this at Filipina on the Rise!

Here we celebrate that the biggest wins aren’t just trophies.. they’re the moments that make an entire generation of Filipinas look up and think: wait… I can do that too.
