You would not believe your eyes ✨
 
This may look like a photo of ten million fireflies, but it’s actually a cluster of galaxies—each full of countless stars.
 
If you look closely, you’ll see different types of galaxies housed in the cluster. Some are spiral galaxies, with arms twisted around their cores. Others are elliptical galaxies, appearing as smooth, round patches of light.
 
Why do some galaxies appear warped around the middle of the photo? The collective mass of this cluster is so large that its gravity distorts space and time. This creates a cosmic magnifying glass in an effect known as gravitational lensing.
 
This galaxy cluster is named MACS0329-0211 and was photographed by NASAHubble.
