A long overdue review of my Business Class experience with China Eastern Airlines from Paris to Shanghai. ✈️ Technically, my journey began in Geneva, connecting through Paris, and both flights featured the same beautifully designed Business Class cabin. I flew this itinerary last September as part of my birthday trip, making it my very first experience with a mainland Chinese carrier—and it genuinely exceeded my expectations. The cabin embraces a refined, contemporary aesthetic with clean lines, subtle finishes, and a sense of understated luxury. Configured in a 1-2-1 layout, every passenger enjoys direct aisle access, and as always, I opted for the window seat for maximum privacy. Beyond the hard product, what impressed me most was the overall execution. The service was attentive yet unobtrusive, the cabin felt calm and well maintained, and every element—from the seating to the dining presentation—delivered the polished experience you would expect from a premium long-haul product. Over the past few years, I’ve found myself gravitating more toward Asian airlines. There is a consistency in hospitality, attention to detail, and passenger comfort that continues to set them apart. While every airline has its own identity, the overall standard across many Asian carriers remains exceptionally high.
