Lust is often a symptom of loneliness.

A lonely man doesn't always crave sex. More often, he craves connection. But instead of addressing that deeper need, he reaches for temporary pleasure because it's easier than confronting the loneliness underneath.

Intimacy represents connection. So when a man constantly seeks pleasure through pornography or masturbation, what he's often tries to escape isn't desire. It's isolation.

The next time you find yourself reaching for the bottle of lotion and a box of tissues, pause for a moment and ask yourself one simple question:

"Will this make my life better? Will it improve me? Will it bring me any closer to the man I want to become?"

If the answer is no, then what you're really trying to do isn't satisfy lust. You're trying to numb loneliness.

Loneliness isn't solved by temporary pleasure. It's solved by building a life filled with purpose, meaningful relationships, and genuine human connection.
